Aim

Code 2 Democracy aims to strengthen democracy by increasing knowledge about democracy and
strengthen individuals' conditions to participate in democracy and its processes by developing two

innovative tools in the form of learning escape rooms online about democracy and a Toolkit about active
citizenship.

Objectives

• We have made an online educational escape room about democracy and active citizenship that can be used in classrooms and by teachers to educate young people.

• 81% of those who played felt that they increased their knowledge of democracy and active citizenship

• 74% feel that they increased their knowledge of media and information literacy
